Getting Back to The Clinic after Lockdown

Lockdown was busier than working! I discovered Zoom is not just a multicoloured ice lolly from my childhood, but a great way to take part in some international webinars on dermal fillers and injecting safely post-Covid; I volunteered for the NHS; I rediscovered my passion for cooking when my teenage kids demanded Nandos and KFC style chicken (the real thing was gone but never forgotten)! The patience and sacrifice of so many in these times of trouble made me humble and grateful for all that I had and was able to do during this period, but it was wonderful to get back to work as soon as it was safe and possible to do so.

My staff and I were delighted to return to work these last few weeks, seeing patients in my clinic in Loughborough for the first time in nearly 3 months. We have been smoothing wrinkles, clearing acne and generally making our patients look and feel better after weeks of lockdown. We have been keeping everyone safe with PPE (gloves, masks and visors) for staff and patients, and offering video consultations and antibody tests. The meticulous cleaning and general due diligence has had patients commenting on how safe they feel coming to have treatment, which I love to hear. Whilst we can’t offer the usual coffee and chat on site at the moment, the reception staff are keeping everyone happy with their cheery phone calls and reminder text messages.

Even though we are seeing fewer patients and leaving more time between them, there are still plenty of new and different things going on at the clinic. In July we are recruiting lip filler and under eye filler patients for a registry study of data collection: put simply it means if you agree that we can collect data on how well the filler lasts over a year, you get a completely free treatment top up at the end of 12 months That’s a syringe of filler free just for telling us how you liked your treatment! Needless to stay we are booking up into next month!
Looking forward to seeing more of you over the next few weeks, in the meantime stay safe and be beautiful!
